A shooting at the 35th Street CTA Red Line station left two people injured Thursday night, according to Chicago police.

Officers responded to a call of a person shot on the train. Upon arrival, they discovered a 13-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to the left arm. He was treated by the Chicago Fire Department (CFD) and transported to Comer Children’s Hospital in fair condition.

A second victim, a 30-year-old man, sustained a graze wound to his left bicep. He was treated by CFD on the scene but refused to go to the hospital.

The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain unclear, as both victims were uncooperative with police. Authorities have not yet released details about potential suspects or a motive behind the incident.

The shooting has raised safety concerns among CTA riders, as transit-related violence continues to be a pressing issue in the city.

There is no one in custody, and Area One detectives are investigating. Officials are urging anyone with information to contact the Chicago Police Department.
